Julie Mills

Julie has been in the fitness industry since 1998, starting as an ACE and NASM personal trainer. In 2000 she tried Pilates for the first time……and never looked back. Pilates resonated with Julie because it is so much more than exercise and fitness. Julie found a way to truly enhance the lives of clients-whether it be to improve sports performance, recover from an injury, or to enhance overall vitality and quality of life, Pilates can do the job! Julie completed mat Pilates training through the PhysicalMind Institute in early 2001, then comprehensive training in 2002.

After moving to the Lake Norman area in 2003, Julie opened her own studio in Cornelius in 2004. During that time, Julie completed Balanced Body University’s comprehensive training with Jennifer Gianni, as well as extensive training with Marie-Jose Blom. Julie is also licensed to teach the Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Methods of exercise as well which is the perfect complement to the Pilates method. Most recently, Julie completed her Pilates Method Alliance certification.

Joe Pilates said “Physical fitness is the first requisite to happiness” and Julie tries to keep this in mind when teaching her clients. Whatever it is that clients want to achieve with the Pilates program, Julie is committed to working hard to help them reach their goals.
